Fastidious Reader

I mostly read YA and NA books. I love them. Paranormal Romance, Dystopian, Contemporary Romance.

Losing Francesca

Losing Francesca - J.A. Huss IF there's no smut... Why is it MATURE YA? NA? :o Hmmm...

Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2)

Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2) - Colleen Hoover Received the ARC through NetGalley. For all readers who got NG access, you could go and read it NOW. You don't have to request it anymore. It's auto approved. :)WOW. I love when authors make second books of a series a POV of the guy I quite liked. I mean, same story but it was told in the male lead's POV. But this book, this particular series, I like how Hoover added some things in it. I love how she start it where in Les still alive. Even though her appearance is quite short.Holder's thoughts are strong. I mean, you could feel whatever he was feeling, especially when Les died. We didn't know, from book 1, what Holder felt when his twin sister overdosed, when he lose Hope, when he saw his mother devastated. We didn't really know. We just know that he felt guilty about it, he's sad and all, but we didn't really know what was going on his mind. Well, it was because it is Sky's POV back then. So what we know, we knew it through her. It's a good thing that Hoover wrote this story in Holder's POV. It makes us feel connected to them both. Yes, it started out a bit slow cause I was looking forward to him meeting Sky and telling her about it all. But I guess, it's okay, the pace I mean. I cried. I actually didn't expect that I will cry again since I already know what happened. But Hoover made some twist in the end. And it just broke my heart all over again. But yes, I love the book. LOL. It's really hard to review books you liked. :p

iD

iD - I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you NetGalley and Angry Robots for the opportunity to read it.Don't you think this book is weird? lol.I got so many issues with this book that I do not know where I should begin. I like the idea of robots. Of vN co-habiting with humans. Working as a nurse, gardener, teacher, etc. I like how they could think of their own but they could not even think of harming a human for it would 'failsafe' them. I think that is such a good idea since in the past, I have watched movies like Terminator, who harms humans because they started to think on their own. Failsafe is like a guarantee that robots, or vN rather, will NEVER hurt humans for they function to serve, protect, love and make them happy.I get the story of the series. Of Amy's clade having a kind of failsafe glitch. Failsafe is an exemption to Portia and Amy. Of Amy being a vN who thinks of her fellow vN to have some sort of freedom. In this certain book though, the past was revealed. Sort of. And the main protagonist in this story is Javier. So it was all Javier's thoughts, past, actions, we are seeing. Reasons why he do what he did. I kinda like that the author change POV. From Amy for the first book, to Javier in second. It's a good knowing what were his thoughts. So, what I didn't like about this book?1. It's a bit boring in the first part.2. All Javier thinks of is getting Amy's panties down. It's like, every single time they're together he's asking to fuck her. >_

The Submissive (The Submissive Trilogy, # 1)

The Submissive (The Submissive Trilogy, # 1) - Tara Sue Me Time and time again. I always remind everyone that I'm not an Adult/Erotica reader. Much less a BDSM one. I'm more of a Young Adult/New Adult reader. But I just wanted to read some contemporary today and I saw the second book up for ARC request. So I just looked at the first book and just told myself, "Sure, why not?" LOL.Well, this one book is surprisingly good. BDSM removed, the lines is good, some witty remarks are good. Made me laugh or smirk. I enjoyed reading it. Of course there're lots of smut going on. Riding crop, spanking, plugs (shuddered at this one)... are always there.. The main plot or climax of the story is okay-ish. That's what I don't like. If they could just explain each other well... Hmmm... oh well. I think that'll be always the plot. Misunderstanding and all that. But yeah, I enjoyed reading it to the point I read it for just 6 hours. And yes, that's quite fast for me cause nowadays, I barely got enough time to read. And this is the first book in weeks that kept me reading non-stop.

Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale (The Bane Chronicles, #3)

Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale - Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan The only part that I liked is... uh... uh... maybe last? Not at all remarkable. I know. I love Magnus Bane but really, what's up with this okay short stories? :( I was under the impression that Magnus got a colorful background/past. But... I'm a bit disappointed at this one. :(

黒子のバスケ 22 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko no Basuke 22 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki How it all started... The past of Teikou Middle School's Generation of Miracles. Woot. I know that it's still the current volume in any online manga... But can I just say that I'm loving Aomine more?! :)))

黒子のバスケ 21 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko no Basuke 21 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki There's not even a dull moment in this manga. The plays are so intense. You'll be always on the edge of your seat. Making you want more. You feel like you read so slow. But at the same time you want to savor the moment when they do special moves and all. Wow. Kuroko No Basket is definitely one of the best manga I have ever read. :)

黒子のバスケ 20 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko no Basuke 20 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki Akashi VS Midorima.Akashi's specialty... wow. He's like... Sasuke. Cool! He's only a first year but he already is the Captain of Rakuzen Gakuen's Basketball team! And Midorima! He improved! Wonder who will win?Love that the Generation of Miracles are all shown. Well, I think there's still one that is not. Hmmm... Anyway, conclusion would be on next volume! Then it's Kise VS Kagami again for the Winter cup!

黒子のバスケ 17 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko No Basuke 17 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki Wow. Seriously. Mu.. Muk... uh... that tall guy from the other team and was from the Generation of Miracles, he's too damn TALL for a highschool player. :O WHAT?! He's like 200 something cm? Like 6ft tall! Just saw the full name. LOL. Murasakibara, Atsushi. Second Game: Seirin VS Yousen. Tatsuya is weird. I mean I wonder what happened to him. He's not the same Tatsuya, Kagami knew back when they were both in United States. Yosen Gakuen's players are ridiculously tall. And being so tall, they got the advantage. A huge advantage. They're best at defense. They got long legs, wide wing span... I mean, how in the world would Seirin defeat them? :oOMG!!! Last volume, Kuroko asked Aomine to teach him how to shoot right?! DAMN! Now, he knows how and WOW. Aomine even admitted that he couldn't block it. Shit. And the way he stands and the form Kuroko took before shooting... I just knew it'll be like a curve. I mean a high curve. Where you'll push it upwards and then let it fall like a semi-circle. WOOT. Finally a point from Seirin!!!! DAMMIT. YOU ARE SO COOL, KUROKO!!! :) Now it's his time to shine once again!

黒子のバスケ 16 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko No Basuke 16 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki AOMINE VS KAGAMI.DAMMIT. I don't know what team am I. >.< Aomine is so friggin' cool. And Kagami too! The battle is so INTENSE!!!

黒子のバスケ 15 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko No Basuke 15 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki I sometimes hate the author for always saying that Kiyoshi will not be playing anymore. He's good so why!? Why does he need to stop playing! >:(AND WHAT. THE. F.Misdirection OVERFLOW. I think what that means was Kuroko could somehow make his teammates 'disappear'. Since Hyuga suddenly disappeared. :O Reading.. reading.. Update later.OMG. Aomine is so sugoi!!! DAMN. He's a real freakin' genius. Effortless genius player.

黒子のバスケ 14 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko No Basuke 14 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki First Game: Seirin VS Touou.Aomine is so cool. Even if he's too damn cocky most of the time. Well that's just because he got something to be really proud of. He's that freakin' good in playing basketball. BUT Kagami now became stronger too. Woot! He trained with this master in America. The one who taught him how to play. Well. Anyway. I love love love how they improved their own play and the team play. :)I love the younger version of Aomine! When he's not yet what he is right now. He always smile!

Chameleon (Supernaturals, #1)

Chameleon (Supernaturals, #1) - Kelly Oram Posted at my blog and enter for the chance to win $50 AMAZON Gift Card: Fastidious Reader.I've read the book weeks before... And I am not sure I remember it all. I forgot my notes in the office so I'll just typed whatever I remember about it. Soooo... I very much liked the concept of this new novel of Kelly Oram. It's not like Being Jamie Baker, which I'm not sure if it's good or bad, maybe a little bit of both. Anyway, from the start... I don't like Russ. I really, really, really don't like him. He's like a bastard. Jackass or whatever you want to call him. Yeah, sure the banter between him and Dani made me laugh a bit but in all honesty, he's not at all likable. Well that is my opinion.I get that Oram wanted to have love triangle and that Dani is confused of her feelings with one another. Uh... I mean the relationship between the three of them, I don't like it that much. I like Gabriel, but he's a bit timid for my taste. Or maybe it was just because I'm used to seeing Oram's male characters got spunk and cocky but in a good way. Russ is cocky but I hate how he is. I don't like him even one bit. I also get that she might be trying something new to her story but I don't think the male character really do me in. If you know what I mean. But the story is really good. I love the idea of Chameleon. And yes, I actually didn't associate the animal, Chameleon to the book. lol. And I love the twists! Wow. It's good. :)Dani is a very very likable female character. I love how she grows. How she finally choose where she'll be. Even though she's at first annoying, she kinda grow on you.I so love the premise though. I love how Oram throw us with different kinds of supernatural. There's werewolf, witch, vampire, wizards, fey, seer, mythology, etc. It's so brilliantly created!

黒子のバスケ 13 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko No Basuke 13 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki Love it! :)

黒子のバスケ 12 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko No Basuke 12 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki A full volume of flashback. Well, almost. Story of how Seirin Basketball Team was created. But I still don't get why he got that injury. Over exertion? Or something? The mangaka didn't mention as to why. So I am a bit confused.

黒子のバスケ 10 (ジャンプコミックス)

Kuroko No Basuke 10 - Tadatoshi Fujimaki This is so awesome! Winter Cup is so so exciting! Seirin definitely became stronger. Plus Kiyoshi is back, though I think he still got a bit of a problem with his injury. But definitely, they are a strong team add the 'new drive' Kuroko invented. So awesomely cool. Woot!!
